I have a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I then went on to earn a MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I currently work as the Assistant Director for a private Christian school. 

 

I have decided to try living a more checmical-free lifestyle and have found essential oils to be a great way to do that. I have found that they can basically replace not only my medicine cabinet, but also my beauty products.

 

I recognize that modern medicine is not always bad, and there are times when it is needed. My husband sufferred a Traumatic Brain Injury and without the medical help he received from doctors, he wouldn't be alive today. You can learn more about our journey with TBI here. So obviously I have nothing against modern medicine, I am simply trying to avoid unnecessary checmicals, and prefer to use natural remedies when possible.

 

My essential oil journey began because over the last few years, I have gotten sick 4-5 times per year. This past year has been the worst. I was sick from October to February with only about 2 weeks that I felt well. I tried everything from prescriptions to natural remedies I found on the internet. Nothing was working. I had a friend that kept talking about these weird oils, so I figured I would give it a try since I'd done everything else. It was the first thing that I've found that gave me relief! 

 

Since then I have been trying them for all my other ailments from headaches to acne and even irritability. I have yet to find something it doesn't work on. I decided to start selling the essential oils because I wanted to get the ones I use for free. 

 

Because it is so natural, and there are no negative side effects like with medications, I began taking a second look at all the other products that I use. I have found that most products are full of harmful checmicals. So I have started making my own products like toothpaste, deodorant, lotions, etc using the essential oils. I have found that not only are these products just as good, if not better than the store bought ones, it's way more cost effective to make my own as well!
